Hello SWE members!
Southeastern Michigan IEEE WIE (women in engineering) is co-sponsoring an upcoming Project Management Basics Workshop with PACE. The workshop will be held at Oakland University on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10AM to 2:30PM. This is a great opportunity to add to your projectmanagement skills for career growth and development!
Background: The Project Management workshop is intended for engineers, technical leads, project leaders, and functional managers who want to practice the fundamentals of project management to help themselves and their groups accomplish their endeavors, whether at work, at home, or in the community. Participants will learn basic project management techniques, and most importantly, how to apply them in real life without excessive paperwork or overhead! The workshop will include templates and checklists to take away, and examples of how to apply project management techniques to engineering, and personal projects.
A nominal fee ($15 students, $25 IEEE members, and $40 for non-IEEE members or guests) is required to help cover cost of printed class notes, refreshments, other support logistics, etc.
