Outreach Metric Tool

As a SWE member, you are part of an amazing and supportive group of individuals who make a difference in our local Detroit communities everyday through our hard work, service, and leadership.  Many of you have been a part of our local Outreach projects, like our most recent event GEE where we taught ~100 inner city Detroit girls about engineering and science through a full day of activities, experiments, and fun.  Furthermore, the national organization of SWE is able to host events like this and more all over the country to help engage and teach the next generation about our professions.  I wanted to share with you, some of the Outreach efforts of National SWE since the beginning of the year. So far there have been 128 outreach events serving 4852 girls and 1380 SWE Volunteers this year alone (and it’s only March!).  SWE Detroit’s outreach metrics are wrapped up into this summer, so know that YOU really do make a difference locally and nationally!
