At this year's
Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Gold Awards, we are thrilled to be
celebrating one of our own -- SWE-D's nominee, Dawn Tilbury, PhD, has been selected
as this year's Gold Award winner. Now in its 45th year, the Gold Award honors engineering leaders for
outstanding technical contributions and dedication to the profession.
Dr. Tilbury is currently the Associate Dean for Research in
the College of Engineering at University of Michigan. Her research interests include distributed
control of mechanical systems with network communication, logic control of
manufacturing systems, reliability of ground robotics, and dynamic systems
modeling of physiological systems.
We hope you will
attend in support of Dr. Tilbury. In addition, the Gold Awards are a great
opportunity to network with hundreds of professionals representing dozens of
professional societies across all fields of engineering.
