LOOKING FOR 2016 EVENT VOLUNTEERS

 Shell Eco-marathon Americas (SEM Americas) returns to Detroit, Michigan, from April 22-24, 2016. SEM Americas is looking for your help at the 2016 event!

Become involved in an energy-filled interactive adventure where you can think, drive, play and celebrate innovation in action! SEM Americas features a mileage challenge on the streets of Detroit and an interactive experience inside Cobo Centre. Over a thousand high school and university students aim to beat energy efficiency records topping more than 3,400 mpg equivalent in their futuristic, custom-designed vehicles on the streets of downtown Detroit. This is a unique opportunity to work with future innovators, Shell Leadership, Stakeholders, Partners, Michigan school children and the general public of the City of Detroit.

With additional event programs commencing prior to April 22, your commitment can be for as little as 1 full day or up to 6 full days; shift times from approximately 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Some of the areas where volunteers may be needed for SEM Americas include: Experiential Ambassadors, Safety Support, Registration Support, Technical Support, C-STEM and much more!

National CSTEM Challenge
The CSTEM organization provides STEM support services to teachers and students to assist Pre K through 12th grade schools with closing the achievement gap amongst underserved and underrepresented students. Support is needed in assisting the CSTEM Challenge competition at Shell Eco-marathon in Detroit. Tasks include: registration, monitoring and judging areas of the competition.
