The Washington Post - Study: There May Not Be a Shortage of American STEM Graduates After All
As we listen to the political debate regarding immigration policy, there are ramifications to those of us who work in STEM professions, as discussed in this article. Clearly, employers in the US should pay the same salary for employees (STEM or otherwise), regardless of nationality. Globalization and pricing of fair wages is not just an issue between countries with different standards of living, but it is also happening within our own country. Diversity is critical, but so is maintaining a level playing field where no one is financially discriminated against because of their nationality.
